Growing up, I was a tomboy if ever there was one. I hated dresses.
No, scratch that.
I despised them.
And the color pink.
Every time another Sunday would roll around I would groan inwardly, knowing my mom would want me to wear a dress. After that, I hate dresses because I had gained too much weight and didn't quit feel comfortable in them.
These days, I'm still not altogether girly. I put make up on for special occasions--sometimes. And now that I have lost some weight (I still have a long way to go!), I try to wear dresses more often and don't find myself hating it nearly as much as I used to.
But one thing I have always liked to have done were my nails. When I couldn't afford to pay for a manicure, I would take to my own nails, and you could always tell a salon had not painted them. While it's not quit as bad as this picture below, you know how hard it is to put the polish ONLY on your nail.

So for a long time, I just gave up on my nails. I let the girls do whatever they wanted, but refused to polish their nails for them. Because it usually wound up looking like the picture above! Okay, not quite that bad...but I'm pretty neurotic so ANY polish outside the nail drives me nuts!
And then it happened.
In late March of this year, Jamberry entered my life.
And changed the way I look at my nails forever.
A friend was having a party on Facebook. I considered ignoring the invite, but decided to look at it anyway. I read a little about the company and the product and though I was extremely skeptical (I'm a 'have to see it to believe it" kind of girl), I ordered a sheet of these Jamberry nail wraps.
The instructions seemed simple enough, and after my first application I was HOOKED. I suddenly found about 150 different designs I just HAD TO HAVE. In the middle of hosting a Facebook party, I decided that it would make more sense (because I knew I would be ordering again and again) for me to sign up as a consultant. So with my husband's blessings, and several friends' promises to support me, I took the plunge. And I have not regretted it since!
I began my business on April 5, 2014. In just three months, I have add 4 people to my team and made over $1000. Simply by wearing the nail wraps and having parties on Facebook. I have not done one in home party (though my first one is next week!), and I have a full-time job and as I mentioned previously, am a mom of 4. I have put little effort into my Jamberry business and know that if I could focus on this full-time, I would be able to put my son through private school, which is something that NEEDS to happen. Right now, it's just for fun, so when you look at $1000 in fun money, I mean...seriously? I get paid for this??? And my nails look amazing?
Each month, Jamberry designs a special "Sister's Style Exclusive" - only available during that month. This is what my nails were sporting for the Fourth of July, thanks to this Born To Sparkle wrap!
